“When I started reading poetry, I
noticed that I was especially
attracted to the poems that were
practical. Sure you can construct
poetry about love, hate, and
politics. However, you can also
write poetry about the simple things
of life, things people experience on
a regular basis; that’s why I wrote
Poetry For Guys.”

Jesus was Buff
The cross wasn’t built
with 2”x4”x8’s.
More like 1’x1’x 12s’
with a weight of 125 pounds.
He carried that through the
streets
no two wheel dolly
to go over the rocky uneven
roads.
He also pulled nets
full of fish
from the sea
even with disciple help
200-300 ponds
rope burns galore for all.
They say he was a carpenter
mega-calluses
tons of splinters
no Neosporin or band-aids.
No power tools
he was the power tool
and still is for many today.
They paint him small & skinny.
Nope, Jesus was buff.
That’s why he can handle
problems
he wasn’t a wimp.
Sure he was the son of God
but he had to be ripped!
When he ascended to heaven
with the gunshow he had to have
he probably flew.
If only scripture had talked
of sleeveless “muscle” robes
or a 1,000 CC mule.
